What is AW3 Laser?



The AW3 laser diode 808nm technology is the latest laser device using an 808nm wavelength to target melanin adsorption for laser hair removal.


This hair removal system works by emitting a wavelength of light into the skin, which targets the pigment in the hair. The light is absorbed by the pigment. It quickly turns into heat which kills the growing cells that make the hair. 


The AW3 system allows the handset to constantly glide across the skin without stopping, delivering treatment as it goes.  The treatment takes 80% less time, it's gentler on the skin and the treatment is completely painless.


Treatment can be provided on the face or body, over a course of sessions.  Improvement begins with the first session and increases until the programme is complete. Treatment is fast and results are long-term or permanent.

The Benefits


With laser hair removal you can expect to rid yourself of unwanted hair with long lasting results, achievable in 6-8 sessions (minimum recommendation). When receiving this treatment, you are avoiding causing stress to the skin, pain of waxing, ingrowing hairs and potential breakouts that can occur when waxing.


What do you need to know?


Hair must be shaved prior to a treatment as the hair must be on the surface of the skin. If the hair is too long the results will be diminished as the light will not travel down to the root.

Hair must be dark enough to absorb the laser light, so unfortunately the treatment doesn’t work on blonde, red or grey hair.

Our first session will be a consultation where we will carry out a patch test at least 48 hours before your first treatment.

FAQs

  • Is laser hair removal treatment painful?

    The sensation of pain is extremely variable from one individual to another. It also depends on the concentration of Melanin in the skin, hair size and hair density.

  • Am I suitable for laser hair removal?

    Yes, most people are suitable for treatment. The most ideal and best results are seen on clients with fair skin and dark hair (due to the high concentration of melanin in dark hair). Fairer hair with less melanin is harder to treat, however results are still seen.  White, blonde & red hairs can not be removed using this machine.


  • How many treatments will I need?

    The number of treatments required varies on the individual response to treatment. Usually, across any laser hair removal system, at least 6-8 treatments are required to see a permanent reduction in hair. However, results vary dependent on the area treated and thickness of the hair and individual responses.
